Care and Cleaning of yourSinkWorks™
Copper Sink

Cleaning of your copper sink depends on the finish that you have. Please follow the appropriate instructions below.

Natural Copper Finish
If you enjoy the "old, tarnished look", simply do nothing! Thriving on neglect, your sink will develop a rich brown patina in a few months and will look like it's been in your house for many years. Remarks like "Where did you get that old copper sink?" will be quite common!

If you don't like the deep tarnished look copper gets over time when exposed to air and water, a quick wipe with Wright's Copper Cream (available from The SinkWorks™ and a hot water rinse is all it takes to bring your sink back to a bright copper color.

Other Finishes
If your sink came pre-finished with one of our antique finishes, the sink should only be cleaned with mild soap and water. Cleaning it with any other cleaner will degrade or entirely remove the antique finish on your sink.

Copper is a very soft metal, and it could dent if a heavy pan or other object is dropped into it or onto the rim if it's a self-rimming unit.
